Scholars, postgraduate students, and practitioners in the field of Information Resources Management,
To effectively enhance the research capacity of scholars, postgraduate students, and practitioners in the field of Information Resources Management; to deepen understanding of theoretical frontiers and practical innovations in this domain; to master key aspects of research project applications and academic paper writing; and to become familiar with the characteristics of different types of research articles in order to gain proficiency in diverse research methods and to improve overall academic literacy so as to enhance the output of high-quality research, the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences in collaboration with Tianjin Normal University, will host the “2026 Seminar on Information Resources Management Research Projects Applications and Research Paper Writing” in Tianjin from 20 to 23 March 2026 (registration on 20 March; departure on 23 March).
Experts in the field of Information Resources Management will be invited to deliver plenary presentations on topics including research project applications, identification and understanding of research frontiers, and research paper writing. They will provide detailed explanations and guidance on scientific research and practice, the preparation of research project proposals, the writing of research papers, and the specific application of various research methods. Editors-in-chief or senior editorial representatives from core academic journals in the field of Information Resources Management will also be invited to introduce key issues related to the peer-review and publication of academic papers.
The seminar is jointly organized by the Editorial Office of Library and Information Service and the School of Management, Tianjin Normal University. Scholars, postgraduate students, and practitioners engaged in research and practice related to Information Resources Management are cordially invited to participate. During the seminar, experts will also provide feedback and guidance on participants’ draft research papers or preliminary project proposals.

III. Main Topics of the Seminar
1. Expert Presentations on Research Project Applications
Project review experts will be invited to explain key considerations in
applying for research projects and in preparing application proposals.
2. Expert Presentations on Disciplinary Research Hotspots
Experts will deliver persentations on current research hotspots and frontier
issues within the discipline.
3. Expert Presentations on Research Papers, Research
Topics, and Research Methods
Detailed interpretations will be provided on academic paper writing, various
types of research topics, and the application of assorted research methods.
4. Editorial Presentations
Invited journal editors will give detailed introductions to key issues in
manuscript peer review and academic publishing.
5. Expert Commentary
Invited experts will review and comment on participants’ draft research papers
or preliminary project proposals.

V. Fees and Registration
This is a fee-based seminar. The registration fee is RMB 1,500 per person (RMB 1,000 per person for full-time postgraduate or undergraduate students). Members of the Editorial Board of Library and Information Service and recipients of the journal’s Outstanding Reviewer Award in 2025 are eligible for a 50% discount (free of charge if accompanied by two or more students).
The above fee covers the conference registration fee, conference materials, and meals provided during the seminar. Participants are responsible for round-trip transportation, accommodation, and lunch on the registration day, as well as meals on the departure day.
Deadline for registration and payment: 20 March 2026.
