OA Policy

Knowledge Management Forum an online academic journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsored by the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Upholding the mission of academic exchanges in the knowledge era, promoting the rapid, extensive, and effective dissemination of knowledge management research achievements, and maximizing the public benefits of scientific research results, this journal has decided that, starting from the year when it was renamed as the Knowledge Management Forum (i.e., 2013), all papers published in this journal will be immediately and fully open access published, following the CC BY licensing method, and encouraging and supporting the implementation of the self-archiving policy.
1. All research papers published in this journal since 2013, both the PDF version of the published edition and the web version, shall be made open access immediately after publication through the journal's website (www.kmf.ac.cn).
2. Authors or the institutions where the authors are located are especially encouraged and supported to archive the papers they have published in this journal into the institutional repositories of their institutions or their personal websites immediately after publication, implementing self-archiving. The archived version should be the final version after peer review, and the basic licensing method is CC BY. However, the standardized journal publication information should be indicated in the metadata of the institutional repository and used as the recommended citation method.
3. The open access papers published in this journal are only for the public to download, read, disseminate, and preserve free of charge for educational and research purposes. The copyrights of the authors and their institutions will be properly protected. Anyone using the authors' papers should follow the CC BY licensing method and accurately indicate the authors and the paper publication information. If a third party intends to use the paper content for commercial purposes or create derivative works, the consent of the author is required.
4. This journal will further promote the deepening and expansion of open access publication, support the semantic disclosure, retrieval, and association of paper data, support the open access of original digital resources (not just the PDF version), support the release and utilization of additional materials of papers, actively explore and test the extended service capabilities of digital content, and support the rich display, mobile access, and ubiquitous utilization of research results.
5. Funding institutions, various library and information institutions, and authors are welcome to provide open access publication funds to support the publication of other types of articles in the open access mode, gradually expand open access publication to more research results, and promote the wide dissemination of papers and other types of research results.
6. This journal is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the industry, support the construction of open access infrastructure including institutional repositories, enhance communication on open access publication policies, strengthen sharing and cooperation in aspects such as journal resource construction, operation models, tool platforms, and author training, jointly safeguard the interests of all parties in open access, enhance in-depth cooperation in the field of open access, and promote research results to enhance their academic influence.
