Abstract

[Purpose/significance] The purpose of this paper is to provide the best engineering practice for the construction of knowledge management in ship research institutes.[Method/process] Firstly, this paper briefly analyzed the present situation and characteristics of the knowledge management in the ship research Institute, and then put forward the methods of solving the problem. By analyzing the process of research and the process of knowledge management, a general model of knowledge management system was designed, including the model of knowledge asset base, the model of knowledge management platform and the model of knowledge operation system. Finally, the validity and adaptability of the knowledge management model were verified by applying it to a ship scientific research institution. [Result/conclusion] By applying this model to a certain type of domain, the efficiency of knowledge production and use is improved effectively, and the research cost is reduced.
