
Academic Econometric Evaluation of Scholars Based on Data Awareness Using Domestic Institutional Repository

Academic Econometric Evaluation of Scholars Based on Data Awareness Using Domestic Institutional Repository
[Purpose/significance] Data resources of the institutional repository to get involved in academic evaluation show its service function, and actually can test the effectiveness of the current institutional repository construction from the application level. [Method/process] Firstly, this paper introduced the contents of scholars in the institutional repository of Chinese Academy of Sciences and universities, summarized the relevant information of scholars, and demonstrated the advantages of institutional repository in academic evaluation. Then, from the perspective of academic metrology evaluation of scholars, this paper clarified the role of institutional repository in metrological evaluation, and investigated all kinds of relevant information about scholars in domestic institutional repositories under the guidance of data consciousness, so as to transform those relevant information into three types of data resources which should support academic metrological evaluation of scholars. Finally, the prerequisite, key elements and implementation process of applying institutional repository to implement academic metrological evaluation of scholars were proposed. [Result/Conclusion] The effectiveness of institutional repository in the practice of academic evaluation needs to be tested by specific scholars' academic cases, and the construction of institutional repository needs specific scientific research service practice to promote.
