[Purpose/significance] Suggestions for the further deepening and development of the future open access publication of library and information science journals in China. [Method/process] By the methods of literature research and network research, this article investigated the status of open access publication of 24 kinds of journals of Library and Information Science in CSSCI, analyzes its deficiencies and problems in operation model, OA publication policy statement, OA publication content, and the construction of additional functions of journals. [Result/conclusion] Suggestions are made on the future development of open access publishing in Chinese Library and Information Science journals: try to change the mode of running journals, strive for the right to speak in cooperation with foreign publishers, supply the OA publishing policy statement and standardize the OA publication content, make full use of new media and new technologies to expand OA journal service capabilities.
