摘要

[目的/意义] 在国内外半衰期指标在期刊评价方面研究评述的基础上,发现半衰期指标在被使用过程中存在混用和误用,针对这些问题加以分析和探讨。[方法/过程] 以《中国学术期刊国际国内影响力统计分析数据库》中统计的图情类和经济类核心期刊指标数据作为样本,运用可视化工具以及相关分析等统计学方法,讨论半衰期指标在期刊评价方面应用的合理性。 [结果/结论] 发现半衰期在期刊评价方面具有一定的局限性,在反映文献老化速度上,历时共时两种测度方法之间差别很大,关于半衰期指标的使用也存在一些混用和误用,针对这些情况提出半衰期使用的建议。

Abstract

[Purpose/significance] Based on the review of half-life indexes in periodical evaluation at home and abroad, this paper finds that half-life indexes are mixed and misused in the process of being used. so, we analyze and explore these problems. [Method/process] Using the core journals’ index data of library and information science and economics as a sample, which come from the Statistical Database of International and Domestic Influences in China Academic Journals, we discussed the application rationality of half-life indexes in periodical evaluation though the visualization tools, correlation analysis and other statistical methods. [Results/conclusion] It has been found that half-life has some limitations in periodical evaluation. There is a great difference between historical and contemporary methods in reflecting the aging rate of literature. There are also some misunderstandings about the use of half-life indexes, According to these situations, this paper proposes some recommendations for half-life use.
